# Task 31: Deployment Preparation - COMPLETE ✅

## Summary

Task 31 (Deployment Preparation) has been successfully completed with all three subtasks and all encountered issues resolved.

## Completed Subtasks

### ✅ Task 31.1: Docker Configuration
- Created multi-stage Dockerfile for optimized builds
- Created docker-compose.yml with all required services
- Created .dockerignore for efficient builds
- Created .env.example template

### ✅ Task 31.2: Kubernetes Manifests
- Created complete Kubernetes deployment manifests in k8s/ directory
- Includes deployments for all services (app, postgres, redis, rabbitmq, keycloak)
- Configured HPA (Horizontal Pod Autoscaler) for application
- Created ingress configuration with TLS support
- Added resource limits and health probes

### ✅ Task 31.3: Deployment Documentation
- Created comprehensive DEPLOYMENT.md guide
- Created QUICKSTART.md for fast setup
- Created DEV-SETUP.md with detailed troubleshooting
- Updated README.md with deployment information

## Issues Encountered and Resolved

### Issue 1: Alpine Docker Images Not Available
**Error**: `failed to solve: maven:3.9-eclipse-temurin-17-alpine: failed to resolve`

**Solution**: Changed Dockerfile to use standard images instead of Alpine:
- Build: `maven:3.9-eclipse-temurin-17`
- Runtime: `eclipse-temurin:17-jre`

### Issue 2: Keycloak Database Missing
**Error**: `FATAL: database "keycloak" does not exist`

**Solution**: Created `scripts/init-databases.sh` to initialize both databases:
- `flight_platform` (application database)
- `keycloak` (authentication database)

### Issue 3: Keycloak Health Check Failing
**Error**: Container marked as unhealthy despite Keycloak running

**Solution**: Simplified health check in docker-compose.yml:
```yaml
healthcheck:
  test: ["CMD-SHELL", "exec 3<>/dev/tcp/127.0.0.1/8080"]
  interval: 10s
  timeout: 5s
  retries: 10
  start_period: 60s
```

### Issue 4: Application Logs Directory Missing
**Error**: `FileNotFoundException: logs/b2b-flight-platform.log`

**Solution**: Updated Dockerfile to create logs directory:
```dockerfile
RUN mkdir -p /app/logs && chown -R spring:spring /app/logs
```

### Issue 5: Missing system_configurations Table
**Error**: `Schema-validation: missing table [system_configurations]`

**Solution**: Created new migration file `V4__create_system_configurations_table.sql` with:
- Table creation
- Indexes
- Default configuration values

### Issue 6: Redis Connection Refused
**Error**: `Unable to connect to localhost/<unresolved>:6379`

**Solution**: Fixed environment variable naming in docker-compose.yml:
- Changed from: `SPRING_REDIS_HOST`
- Changed to: `SPRING_DATA_REDIS_HOST`

This is required for Spring Boot's property binding to work correctly with nested properties.

### Issue 7: App Health Check Using Wrong Command
**Error**: Health check failing because wget not available in container

**Solution**: Changed health check to use curl (which is available):
```yaml
healthcheck:
  test: ["CMD-SHELL", "curl -f http://localhost:8081/actuator/health || exit 1"]
```

## Final Status

All services are now running and healthy:

```
NAME                  STATUS
b2b-flight-app        Up (healthy) - Port 8081
b2b-flight-keycloak   Up (healthy) - Port 8080
b2b-flight-postgres   Up (healthy) - Port 5432
b2b-flight-rabbitmq   Up (healthy) - Ports 5672, 15672
b2b-flight-redis      Up (healthy) - Port 6379
```

### Health Check Results

```json
    "status": "UP",
    "components": {
        "amadeusApi": {"status": "UP"},
        "circuitBreakers": {"status": "UP"},
        "database": {"status": "UP"},
        "db": {"status": "UP"},
        "diskSpace": {"status": "UP"},
        "livenessState": {"status": "UP"},
        "redis": {"status": "UP"}
    }
