# Toggle Auto Saving

Easily **disable and enable autosave** to have better heartbeat API controls. A must if you are on web hosting that limits concurrent request or requests per seconds. Prevents Gutenberg editor from freezing and getting banned on webhosts.

## How to disable autosaving?

Follow the simple steps below to toggle block editor auto saving.

1. Click the dots icon on the top right side of the block editor to open more tools and options.
2. Click **Auto Save** under Plugins to disable or enable auto saving.
