# Initial Setup
You'll need to prepare your machine and environment for working on configurators.

### Programs
 - Install these programs from the service portal:
 - Install [HeidiSQL](https://www.heidisql.com/download.php)
 - Install [MariaDB](https://mariadb.org/download/?t=mariadb&p=mariadb&r=10.3.34&os=windows&cpu=x86_64&pkg=msi&m=mva)
 - Visual Studio Code
 - Node.js

### Node Modules
```
npm install nodemon -g
npm install --global --production windows-build-tools
npm install -g node-gyp
```
If those fail, you might want to delete the node modules and package lock and install again.

### Programs (currently broken)
 - Install [MySQL Workbench](https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/workbench/)
 - Open the Workbench, navigate to `Edit > Preferences > Administration` and link the MariaDB dump tools.
